Congratulations to the Morrison Government for their January announcement of funding to support parents and families with their mental health and wellbeing.

Parents of children under 11 years of age can participate in the Parent Education and Support Program to enrich the wellbeing of their children.

The program is a response to key findings in the Productivity Commission’s Mental Health Inquiry Report and the Government’s world-first National Children’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

The free online and interactive training will be accessible to eligible parents and offered through partnering organisations. It is a concerted effort to improve the emotional wellbeing and resilience of young children, while equipping parents to be more informed and able to access key support services.
